Overview

Vampire Weekend made a splash in the music industry shortly after scoring a 2006 record deal. They introduced the world to their distinct sound – which drew influences from several genres – with debut single “Mansard Roof” and landed on rock and alternative charts with “A-Punk,” both of which came off their eponymous debut album. Their recognition grew from there with the release of their subsequent records Contra and Modern Vampires of the City. To the disappointment of fans, Vampire Weekend took a hiatus following the latter’s 2013 release and underwent a shift in lineup before returning with their fourth album Father of the Bride. The band – currently comprised of frontman Ezra Koenig, drummer Chris Tomson and bassist Chris Baio – have performed at some of the world’s biggest venues and festivals, including Lollapalooza, Glastonbury Festival, Coachella, and Bonnaroo.
