Stephen Marley is a Jamaican-American musician, singer, songwriter, and producer. He was born on April 20, 1972, in Wilmington, Delaware, but was raised in Kingston, Jamaica. Stephen is the son of Reggae icon Bob Marley and his wife Rita Marley. He is known for his unique sound, which fuses traditional Reggae with elements of R&B, Hip Hop, and Dancehall.
Stephen Marley began his music career in the late 1970s as a child, singing backup vocals for his father's band, the Wailers. He later joined forces with his brothers Ziggy, Damian, and Julian to form the Melody Makers, a band that released several successful albums in the 1980s and '90s.
